“To me, art is about celebrating life whether it's a landscape, person, bird or an extraordinary moment.
I respect the work of old masters and their accomplishments that still stand
My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look carefully at the world around them to discover the magical moments in each day...”
Patrice, a self-taught artist, won her first art competition in high school. She transitioned from charcoal and colored pencils to paint in the early 1980’s. To this day, her favorite medium is paint—oil, acrylics, watercolors and inks— and is continually exploring new techniques with each.
Patrice has been teaching art classes since 2005 in Oakland County and leading artistic retreats in Sedona, Arizona and Hilo, Hawaii since 2012. Many of her works are in private collections throughout the U.S. Within the past five years her work has been on exhibit at the Flint Institute of Arts, Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, Farmington City Hall and ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In 2016 she moved to Davisburg where she currently resides. There, her gallery and studio will be opened in the spring of 2023.
